Life Recently

Ugh, I feel utterly dreadful for not keeping up with my little ol' blog. So sorry about that! Since I haven't given you guys an update on life for awhile, I thought I'd let you all know what I've been up to.  So let's just hop right into it. :)
One of the major reasons I haven't been posting regularly is that I've been super busy with my photography business. It's so strange to think that only a month ago I was thinking that it wasn't the career for me. I was getting little or no business and was wondering if it was what God wanted me to do. So I asked him if he could give me sign of some sort that would help me make my decision. Only a few days after that, I started getting messages from people who wanted to book a session. I was flabbergasted (I do love that word by the way). So far this month, I've done two family sessions(it was so fun) and next month I'm doing a family session and a wedding. Ahhhhhhhh! I'm so excited, and well, extremely nervous too. So I think for now God wants me to continue on with my photography business (and I'm more than content with that). Every time I finish a shoot, I realize how much I sincerely love what I do.
On top of that, schoolwork has taken up a rather large chunk of my time. Last year, because my great grandmother was ill, our family had to take care of her a lot. We didn't get as much school done as we wanted to, so for this semester we really need to step it up. All my subjects are going pretty well except for math. I strongly detest math with a purple passion, though I'm slowly but surely learning the different concepts and such.;)

Oh and I wanted to ask you guys if there are any types of posts in particular you would like to see on my blog? I'd very much appreciate your feedback. <3
p.s. I'm working on a new fall blog design for my blog so keep your eyes peeled!

Love ya, guys! Talk to you all later! :)

  2. Yay! New design! ^^ Always love designs from you, Eve.

Ummmm I haven't been following as long as others have so I don't know what all types of posts you've already done...Maybe another interview? A tag? A fashion post (OOTD, what's in my closet, etc.)? I don't really know haha

Oh, I know what's like to have school cut down like that, and then have to make up for it. My great-grandmother was also ill several years ago, and I remember having to lug my books along on our trip to go help out. It's very difficult to focus on school and family; eventually you end up having to pick one.

Math is slaughtering me too, but hopefully I will emerge out of this darkness (and not remain so bitter about it :P)

Maybe one day we will escape from the darkness math has trapped us in. One day... *says with dramatic hopefulness*

  6. I feel the same way you feel! I was the photographer for an event at our church on Sunday. Then, Monday morning I woke up and found out that someone contacted me for a shoot on Tuesday. Very busy, but I prayed for work!

  9. I am so happy for you, that things are going well! :) I'm stuck in a rut because there's a 75 to 25 percent change of something I really want of not happening and it's been something I've been working hard at for the past several months... I've been praying and have been hurling every obstacle and dealing with my drawbacks, and there are days I wonder if this was what I've been waiting for... Or if I have to wait. Urgh. :/

    xoxo Morning

  13. I really like the new design! Yellow/gold is an underestimated color that I think you've used elegantly! And I found it so encouraging to read how God answered your uncertainty! I'm so excited to see what He will do through you!

As for post ideas: what about a photography series? I would love to know some of the tips that you've discovered on a DSLR or on photoshop!

  15. Love your design, love your photography, love all of this. School and other life should always take prescience over little things like this, so never feel bad for *LIVING* and living richly. Best of luck in all your future endeavors and wishing your Autumn blessings!
