Prince Edward Island

I do believe a piece of my heart resides in Prince Edward Island. It is a place of such serenity and beauty. It is a home away from home you might say. It was the spring Senior trip my family and I have been planning for a long while. If you are an Anne of Green Gables fan (like me)  this wonderful island in Canada is a dream come true. I love Lucy Maud Montgomery's writing and her beautiful outlook on life. P.E. island seemed to give her the same sense of peace and freedom as it gave to me. Having the chance to take a stroll down Lover's Lane and the Haunted Woods made her stories vividly come to life.We visited the house that was her inspiration for Green Gables, saw the Anne and Gilbert play, and ate loads of wonderful food. I had shepherds pie, lobster mac and cheese, seafood chowder, pistachio ice cream, and much more. It was all so scrummy! I was dying to try raspberry cordial so we bought lots of bottles of cordial while we were there. It is by far my favorite drink. Sadly, it can only be bought in P.E. Island which is so very tragical (as Anne would say). I went into a field and near the ocean to feel a prayer on a Sunday on the island. The soil and sandstone cliffs radiated a deep, vivid red that was incredibly entrancing to the eye. Honestly, I didn't want to leave. Not one bit. Hopefully, I will have the honor of visiting this island many times in my lifetime. Well, dear friends, I'll stop talking about this wonderful place so that you can experience it for yourselves through these photographs. I hope you enjoy. I've missed you all so very much.<3
