Chicken Pot Pie

Hi! Today I thought I could share a recipe that is so good! It's chicken pot pie! You don't even need to make the pie crust. There's an easier and much simpler way to do it instead. My mom makes it sometimes, and I absolutely love it! You could add different types of veggies if you want, like the person below did. :)

What you'll need
2 cans of canned chicken
1 can of green beans
3 potatoes peeled, chopped, and cooked
3 cans of cream of chicken soup
1 or 2 cans of Pillsbury crescent
salt and pepper
milk or half and half
 What to do
1. Preheat oven to 350°
2. Combine chicken, veggies and cream of chicken
3. Add water if needed
4. Place mixture in 13×9 baking dish
5.Unroll crescents on mixture and don't tear
6. Bake at 350° for 30 min. check on it while baking

Movie Review

Hey everyone! I'm going to share a movie review with you today. The movie is called Frozen. It's a perfect movie for the whole family. My little sister absolutely loves it!
File:Frozen (2013 film) poster.jpg
The movie is all about two sisters. Ana is adventurous and brave, while her older sister Elsa is calm and conceals her feelings. Elsa was born with a power to make ice. When Elsa looses control over her power, the whole kingdom is covered in snow and ice. Ana goes on a journey to stop winter and meets some friends on the way.

I think the main reason I love this movie is that it doesn't show the love between a princess and prince like some fairytales do. Instead it's about the love between sisters. :) I also like all the amazing songs in this movie!

Genre: Comedy, Fairytale,
Age: All ages       Violence: None
Romance: Some but nothing inappropriate
Language: None

Here are some videos of a couple songs to give you a sneak-peek. :)

Optimistic Pollyanna

Hi! I think we all could use a little Pollyanna in us. I loved the way she was always happy and tried see the good when all hope seemed lost. Sometimes we would rather feel sorry for ourselves than to be happy for the things that God has given us. Pollyanna's Optimism made others feel better than they ever did before.  I remember in the movie when she was talking about The Glad Game. (If you don't know what that is it’s where she would try to find a good thing in every situation)  I think we, as Christians, should play that game.  So instead of thinking of all things that have gone wrong, why not think about the things that have gone right. Here is a little bit of chapter five of Pollyanna. I haven't read the book yet, but I would love to read it soon. Enjoy. J
"You don't seem ter see any trouble bein' glad about everythin'," retorted Nancy, choking a little over her remembrance of Pollyanna's brave attempts to like the bare little attic room.
Pollyanna laughed softly.
"Well, that's the game, you know, anyway."
"The--GAME?"
"Yes; the 'just being glad' game."
"Whatever in the world are you talkin' about?"
"Why, it's a game. Father told it to me, and it's lovely," rejoined Pollyanna. "We've played it always, ever since I was a little, little girl. I told the Ladies' Aid, and they played it--some of them."
"What is it? I ain't much on games, though."
Pollyanna laughed again, but she sighed, too; and in the gathering twilight her face looked thin and wistful.
"Why, we began it on some crutches that came in a missionary barrel."
"CRUTCHES!"
"Yes. You see I'd wanted a doll, and father had written them so; but when the barrel came the lady wrote that there hadn't any dolls come in, but the little crutches had. So she sent 'em along as they might come in handy for some child, sometime. And that's when we began it."
"Well, I must say I can't see any game about that, about that," declared Nancy, almost irritably.
"Oh, yes; the game was to just find something about everything to be glad about--no matter what 'twas," rejoined Pollyanna, earnestly. "And we began right then--on the crutches."
"Well, goodness me! I can't see anythin' ter be glad about--gettin' a pair of crutches when you wanted a doll!"
Pollyanna clapped her hands.
"There is--there is," she crowed. "But I couldn't see it, either, Nancy, at first," she added, with quick honesty. "Father had to tell it to me."
"Well, then, suppose YOU tell ME," almost snapped Nancy.
"Goosey! Why, just be glad because you don't--NEED--'EM!" exulted Pollyanna, triumphantly. "You see it's just as easy--when you know how!"

Modesty

Hey! I thought that we could talk about modesty.

Some may say it's lame, but I believe it is a virtue that should be cherished. Modesty isn't just about covering up more, it's about feeling secure as you are. You don't have to wear long sleeves and long skirts to be modest. You can still be modest and fashionable. I also believe that modesty is respectful to men.

Let's say that a girl walks into class wearing a very low top and shorty shorts. The guys in the room don't see the real her, what they see is her body. The guys don't want to get to know her because she's like all the other girls. It's almost like immodesty cheapens the look of a person. Now lets say a modestly dressed girl enters the classroom. Guys are not looking at her body, instead they want to get to know her.

I think it can also make it awkward for guys when a girl is dressed immodestly. It could be hard for a guy to have a conversation with a girl if she dresses immodestly. Just like I said before, it would be hard to see the real girl because her body is not covered. Some people may think that girls who dress modestly are insecure with themselves. Truth is, girls who dress modestly don't need low cut tops and short shorts to make them feel beautiful. They know that beauty comes within. Here is a quote I saw one time online. "Modesty is the way you deal with beauty not the way you avoid it"

I also think that judging those who are not modest is wrong. The truth is we really don't know about their past or the way they were raised. Some girls think that there's nothing wrong with low cut tops and such.  It's our job to be an example for girls and show them that it's okay to not follow the crowd. What are your thoughts on modesty? If you would like to share just comment below.
I hope you all have an awesome day! :)

Nail Design Tutorial

Hi! I am going to do a nail tutorial this evening. All you'll  need is two colors of nail polish,( any color is fine) and a dotting tool. If you don't have a dotting tool, you can also use a tooth pick or you can straighten out a bobby pin, and use one of the ends. For a more professional look, a dotting tool would be best. If you look on Amazon, there are several to choose from. I just chose the cheapest. I think for  six dotting tools it was under a dollar. So now let's get started!   The first step is to paint your nails with the color you have chosen as the base. You may want to do two coats if it is thin. Then wait for them to dry.  The second step is to use your dotting tool. Put some drops of nail polish on a piece of paper or napkin. Dip your dotting tool into some of the nail polish, and start making little dots on all your nails. Wait for them to dry and seal with a clear top coat. Then you are all done! :)

Trusting In God

Hi! Eve here. I thought I would talk about trusting in God. It is sometimes hard for me to trust God because it seems like the world is full of so many bad things, so many things to worry about. Sometimes it's hard to let go of our worries, and let God take control. Let's try to not only let go of our fears and doubts, but also let's try to put our full trust in God. If you sometimes struggle with worrying, here are some uplifting bible verse that you can read.

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? -Matthew 6:25-27

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. -1 Chronicles 16:11
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. -John 14:27

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.  He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;  but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. -Isaiah 40:28-31
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. -Psalm 23:4

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. - Isaiah 41:10
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. -Matthew 11:28-30
