Photographs//Life Update

~photos from Friday afternoon with my youngest sis~
Hello! I thought since I haven't given you all a life update in awhile, I'd tell you guys what has been going on in my life. :)
Sorry for my sudden disappearance (yet again) on here. Life has been overflowing with busyness and (unfortunately) quite a lot of sickness. I've been very unwell lately and am just now recovering from it all. Nothing major or anything, but it was still very difficult and annoying to go through. I had a virus, the stomach bug, pink eye, and to top it all off, a sinus infection. All in a matter of a couple weeks at that. Ah, how lovely. ;) I still feel a little weak and such, but I feel exceptionally better than before.
Anyways, onwards to a less sick-y topic.
Can you believe it's December?! I can't! I am so exuberantly happy to see winter finally settling in around here and the lovely Christmas decorations covering house after house. I love this time of year: when we all set up trees in our homes, and cling to our rooted traditions that knit us tightly together. Most importantly we celebrate the birth of the one who came to save us all.
I haven't been watching that many Christmas movies except for Elf. Which is my absolute favorite!
"I'm in a store and I'm singinnnggg!"
My family and I might see a Christmas movie at our favorite theater. It was built in the 1940s and it's such a lovely, hidden gem. The worker there always gives us extra butter on our popcorn which makes all the more special. Going to that theater to watch a Christmas film is a holiday tradition for my family, and I always look forward to it.
This afternoon I will be signing "Hallelujah" (cover by Cloverton) in sign language (which is what I'm learning for my second language). I'm in the Christmas play at my church so I get to sign the song and sing in the choir. I'm actually very nervous, because I've come to realization that I've never been on stage by myself. Worst case scenario I get an extreme case of stage fright at the last minute and just faint right then and there. right on the stage. Hopefully that won't happen, but I suppose it would be rather entertaining for those watching the play. ;)
Speaking of plays,  I saw Wicked for the first time! It was an astounding performance and the music was stunning. I've seen a lot of musicals through the years for birthdays or for Christmas but never one so large-scale. It was amazing!!!
Oh and I was wondering if you guys would be interested in me posting some more of my poetry on here? I've been writing a lot more lately and would love to share them with you all. :)
I hope you all are having a lovely weekend! Love you, guys. <3
Hopefully the randomness of this post hasn't scared you off. ;)

  1. Lovely photos. The 16th photo is m favorite.

I have been sick lately as well. My mom has been forcing me to go to school anyway and it is pretty miserable.

    I'm so excited it's december!

I love Elf too. In fact, I'm watching it now. "The best way to spread christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear"

I'm learning sign language too. (I guess it would be my 3rd language) I can say stuff like 'happy birthday' and 'I love you' and such.

  2. Your sisters are literally the cutest things ever.
I'd love to read some more of your poetry and I wish you the very best with your sign language performance.
I'm taking German this year after doing two years of Spanish, and I have to say I am enjoying it so much more. <3
Oh! I have been working on a book lately and I don't have much written yet (though the entire thing is plotted out from start to finish, but I was wondering if you'd consider reading what I have so far. If not that's totally fine all the same <3

i'm so glad that you're feeling better...i was out for a while last week, and what was more embarrassing was that in choir i had to like walk out in front of everyone because i just felt so faint. haha, sooo not fun. i hope you have an awesome time doing your sign language performance :) i'm sure it would be sort of nerve-wracking...but i'm positive you'll do great :)
