Holocaust Remembrance Day

{ update: here are a few photos I took yesterday. I tried to represent the sadness, the solemness, but most importantly the hope that all unitedly surrounded those dark sad days }

Forgive but never forget.

  1. Oh my goodness.

    That quote is so immense, and all of history is so broken, and maybe we needed today. Thank you for sharing. ♥

  3. I had no idea that it is Holocaust Remembrance Day! So heartbreaking. I love the quote you used. I tried to write a World War II story once which involved the Holocaust, but never finished it. It's always been a fascinating subject to me. And so terribly sad. :(

    1. I wrote a really short story about World War II a year or so back. I know exactly what you mean. I've read so many books and watched many movies and documentaries concerning the Holocaust. It's so very sad but it's something I want to understand. And one question comes to mind when I think of the tragic time, "Why?"
