Happy belated St. Patrick's Day! I don't know if this happened to you (probably not ;)), but a some "leprechauns" visited our house yesterday morning. ;) I believe their names were Lucky and Lenny and they were such mischievous little ones. They left a trail of skittles to show where they had been. As we followed the trail we saw that they had been coloring with all the green crayons, reading "Green Eggs and Ham", playing board games, and eventually had fallen asleep in a doll bed where we found two little leprechaun hats and chocolate coins for us all. My little sisters loovvved it.
We also had some yummy Irish themed food for supper. Cooked cabbage, boiled potatoes, and corn beef gravy on toast or biscuits. For dessert we had some green cake(colored by food coloring) with chocolate frosting.
St. Patrick's Day is actually one of my favorite holidays. I own like three shirts and two sweatshirts (all of which are green) that say "Ireland" on them so I never have any trouble finding clothes to wear for this particular holiday. Ireland has always been a country I've dreamed of going to. My great grandmother's mom came from Ireland when she was little, so I guess you could say I have a little Irish in me. ;)
Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun! Lucky and Lenny had a real treat at your house ;)

Thanks, Noor! Haha, yep! ;)
DeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteLucky and Lenny apparently forgot about Southern California, lol.
Your sisters are so cute!
Haha, apparently! ;D Perchance they're a little forgetful. ;) Thanks!
DeleteHow cute :)
ReplyDeleteAnd your St. Patrick's Day sounds a lot more fun than mine was...
Thank you, Lauren! When the little ones got a little older, my mom had an idea for making St. Patrick's Day a little more fun. She told the little girls about leprechauns and the history of the holiday. So now the "leprechauns" visit our house every St. Patrick's Day and we have an Irish themed meal. Before the youngest two were born, we never really made a big deal out of the holiday. :)
DeleteAwh, it looks like you had so much fun! Your sisters are adorable! =) I went to biology lab on St. Patrick's Day. =P Haha

Deletehaha, that's a lotta green! ;) Really?! I'm partially Irish as well, from my Dad's side. :D Happy belated St.Patricks day!! :D I agree, I think it's the only holiday without candy...just lots of good food. ;)
ReplyDeleteI know, right? How cool! <3
DeleteThat's tons and tons of green, yes! :) St. Pat's was Dynamic Duo at my school, but sadly no one wore green because of that Spirit Day. (Today is Harry Potter vs. Lord of the Rings, yay!) I made sure to have wore green; last year, immediately after I walked into my classroom, all of my friends had pinched me and I spent the rest of the day crawling on the ground. Wish Lucky and Lenny came to where my family lives...
ReplyDeletexoxo Morning
Once again, I love your photos. They're so vibrant.
ReplyDeleteSaint Patrick's day isn't really a big deal for me, but it looks like you had fun.
