Brokenness//Poem

we can laugh like 
nothings wrong
can wear our 
perfect
little
smiles
pretend we have 
our lives
all put together
that we have it
 all figured out
but inside
 we are all just
broken people
with broken
souls
broken souls
with broken hearts
we can
only be mended
by the one
who created us,
 humans
in the first place
only he can heal 
our brokenness
our sadness
our shame
without leaving
a single scar
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalms 34:18

He heals their broken hearts
    and bandages their wounds.
Psalms 147:3
