Invisible Hurt

There are people who

have words
 they'll never say

 have scars
 that do not show
can cry
 invisible tears

and
can scream
without making
a single sound
just because
we don't
 see the hurting
the constant pain
doesn't mean
 it's not there
festering on
 people
body and soul
sometimes
 they don't make
their hurt known
they don't broadcast it
 for all to see
for all to hear
some hurt
the
deep
dark
sad
kind
is quiet
and hushed
forever putting
permanent facades
upon its
 victims' faces
sometimes
just because
 we don't see
the hurting
the anguish
in their
tattered hearts
doesn't mean
 it's not there
doesn't mean
it's less important
than the hurt
that
speaks
bleeds
cries
and
screams

 I don't really know where this poem came from. The words just spilled out of my mind, making words and phrases that I never knew were inside of me. With the last poem, it was the same way. Some of you said that you really needed to hear it or it gave you hope for the struggles you were going through. So, I don't know. Maybe God gave me these words so you will know that you're not alone. That there is still a God who cares and loves and heals. And sees the silent, invisible hurt inside us all. <3
