This week my family and I went to "The Windy City" also known as Chicago. Even though it was bitterly cold and the wind was horrendous I still had such a lovely time. They still had their Christmas lights and decorations up for the holidays which I loved! My little sisters got their first American Girl dolls there with their Christmas money. They were so excited. Even though I don't play with dolls and such, I have to admit that The American Girl Place was sooo adorable and fun.
We also got some AWESOME pizza! It was extremely delicious. It took what seemed like forever for it to come to our table, but boy, it was worth it. Mmmhmm. :)
I'm not used to city life. The crowds and the traffic were definitely not enjoyable, but it really makes me appreciate living in a small town.
Hope you all have a lovely evening!
Hope you had a great time! Your photos just keep getting better and better:) I love looking through them:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kat!
DeleteYour talent is remarkable!
ReplyDeleteI've always heard such terrible things about Chicago (I say this not to be offensive but most people I've met that have been there don't hold the place in high regard), so it's nice to see it portrayed in a more positive light.
Thanks! I've only been to Chicago a few times but every visit has been very enjoyable so far. :)
DeleteThe pictures of your sisters had me laughing so so hard. XD
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you got to have such an adventure, and I hope it was wonderful!

Haha! Yeah, they were very excited! They've been saving their money for a while to get a couple American Girl dolls. They finally had enough this Christmas. :)
DeleteThank you! <3
Looks like you had a ton of fun :) Your photography is so perfect too... like the ones of the city are just, just, amazing, Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you so much!
DeleteYou too!
I love the photos! I loved American Girl too; ah, the nostalgia. Makes me happy. ^.^ And isn't Chicago lovely? I've been there two times before and loved my visits, even Chicago isn't exactly the most perfect city. Happy New Year, Eve!

Thanks! Yeah, I used to love the dolls that were from different time periods and such. It was such a fun way to learn more about history as a child.
DeleteYay! It's sooo good, isn't it?! That's how I was too!
You too, Clara!
I've always wanted to go to Chicago, but my family has never gotten around to going up there. These are beautiful pictures, and it makes me want to go to Chicago :)

I hope you get to go there someday. It's a very cool place to visit. Thank you, Lauren! <3
DeleteI'm in the suburbs, and we rarely hit the city. 3 times per year at the max. I love love love the city, but unlike New York or LA, there really isn't much to do. I've seen all the sights and been to the museums a bajillion times. I still love the city though. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been to Chicago before and I loved it! Did you go ice skating? I went to the John Hancock Building and went really high. It was so cool! I love the city but maybe a little smaller.
