Guess what? I watched The Giver on Friday!!! It was sooo good! I'm going to do a review on it for you guys. :)
Could you imagine a place without pain, war or suffering?
Where every chose is determined for you?
In Jonas's community it is exactly that. When he is chosen to learn about the suffering and the pleasure of the world from an elderly man he soon realizes that his society is far from perfect. He must make a decision, a big decision. One that will change everything...
My Review
I loved this movie! Trust me, I had my doubts since I saw many things that were not in the book. After watching it, I was glad about what they added. They stayed within the story line and made only better changes. If you've read The Giver and are wondering if it had that "part" in it (If you've read it and still don't understand, select the text that are below and it will reveal the message).
It has the part where the baby is shot with the injection...
I'm normally a big book critic when it comes to movies, and I dislike it when they don't do everything exactly like the book, but this movie was so good and actually was appropriate!!! If you haven't watched it you should think about doing so. :) Oh and it was done in black and white at first so I was so overjoyed when I heard that!!!
I rate this 5 stars!

P.S Does the Giver show the "Part"?
Yay, awesome! me too! The part is hidden in that thick pink background. If you are referring to the part I'm talking about, then yes. It does in a way where it isn't... well, too graphic. Sorry for not just saying it in the post but I didn't want to give away anything for anyone. :)
