Hello! I have officially 30 followers!!! Thank you all so much. So, as I've promised, I will be having a writing contest party. Whoop, whoop! It can be a poem, short story, whatever you choose! So I will now list the directions and rules below.

Directions:

3. Comment below if you have completed this challenge.

No swear words.

Now that we have that settled, we can move on to what I'm going to say next. :)

Well, if I could do anything, I would love to travel the world. There is so much out there to see and explore.

I've always loved learning about different cultures in other countries.

Fall! The lovely weather, the cool breeze, the colorful leaves, oh yes. :)

New Blog | Poem

Hello everyone! I just started a new blog! It's called Riveting Raspberry. I, of course, will not be abandoning this blog.   I just thought it would be cool to have another blog. This new blog is going to be pretty much the same but probably a bit more DIY things and blog design tutorial. Eve of Womanhood is going to be more of my writing blog and more on my personal life.

Mask

Underneath the make up,

and the outgoing personality,

you'll find a girl who is insecure.

She wears a mask 

to cover her

past. 

Hoping that people with believe her popular girl act.

As she looks in the mirror,

she doesn't see the girl everyone else sees.

but the girl who is underneath.

A girl who is afraid,

helpless,

ignored,

scarred from the world

where her happiness was absorbed. 

But she turns away from that weak girl.

and puts on her mask once again,

and returns into the masquerade of society we live in.

Story Within a Picture

Hi! I decided to participate in Celia's Story Within a Picture. I hope you enjoy!

Samuel slammed the door of his cluttered bedroom.
He could still hear this parents fighting on the other side of the wall.
He sat on his bed, feeling miserable.
He was angry,
at the world,
at his parents,
at his life.
He escaped from the pain the only way he knew how.
He began to write.
and the words were written with feeling.
Then turned into lyrics
 As he began to play his guitar, something magical happened.
All the pain that was bottled up inside of him
Released in a breathless whirl of feelings.
He could feel something extraordinary in the air.
Something comforting and loving.
A feeling he rarely got from his parents.
This was his only escape from life.

Tutorial: Make Your Own Photo Art For Free

Hi!

Today, I'm going to show you how to transform your photo for free.

I will be showing you how to make a mystical, artsy photo.

I transformed this tutorial from what I'm used to doing because 

I wanted this to be something that was free for everyone. 

No membership required!

Before you start, head over to PicMonkey and click on Edit so you can pick out your photo.

 First you need to go to basic edits and lighten the picture by going to Exposure and adjust the brightness setting.

Now we are ready to begin.

Go to Touch up and select Blush Boost. This is how were going to make everything pale and more mystical.

Click on the rainbow tab>>>adjust color to white>>>paint the photo>>>adjust by fading>>>apply

Now it's time for the eyes. P.S. You can always scroll in with your mouse to zoom in.

Go to Lip Tint>>>select color>>>paint eye area>>>adjust intensity>>>apply

Now it's time for the hair color.

Lip Tint>>>pick color>>>paint over hair>>>adjust intensity>>>apply

Now for the lips.

Zoom in with scroll on mouse.

Lip Tint>>>pick color>>>paint over lips>>>adjust intensity>>> apply

Almost done! Now it's time to add the blush.

Go to Blush Boot>>>add blush to cheeks>>>adjust the fade>>>apply

Now for the wings. Click here to find where I found mine.

Go to Overlays>>>click Your Own>>>choose a picture>>>erase the part you don't want

Go to effects and add something that compliments your photo.

I chose Tranquil.

  All done!!

To tell you the truth,
I'm not in a rush to grow up.
Some girls
are in such a hurry to
to be independent
and go out in the world alone.
But as for me...
I'm not in a rush.
I want to savor each moment of my childhood
and my teen hood.
I'm not the kind of girl who is anticipating her future,
or living in her past.
I just want to be me.
Right now.
Because I can't go back in time,
or speed up the clock.

it's okay to cry.
When you hold everything in...
It becomes too much to bear.
And it feels good to release the hurt inside.
To let the tears roll down your cheeks.
To let all the pain out,
Through crying.
Through each tear.
Let those tears drip down one by one.
Let go of the fear inside,
and the disappointment.
All those broken promises,
and wishes that could never come true.
Sometimes,
it's okay to cry,
because it's the only way to be able to move forward.

My role model is Katie Davis. She wrote the book Kisses From Katie which is amazing!

She started a mission to help people in Uganda. She currently has 13 daughter that are all from Uganda (they were abandoned) and raises them as her own. Learn more about her here.

When you get married someday, would you want a small or large family?

I love children, but whatever God wants for me is fine with me too. :)
If I had a preference I would like five girls. :)

I've never thought about it... but now I will.

Even though I love the story world, it's nice to return to the real world...once and a while. ;)

So today my mom got out the camera and took some school photos for us. 

It was extremely windy and a bit hot today! My sister's hat blew off at just the right moment.

The Story of a Bookish Girl

The library

is like a candy store to me.

Books are shelved neatly everywhere

in every color. 

Each book holds a story.

A world that I have not yet discovered.

I look around..

it's so hard to chose just one..

so I choose five.

Sometimes, but only sometimes,

I'll find that perfect book on one of those shelves.

As if it is whispering, calling out for me to read its poetic words on its parchment.

I pull it gently off the shelf.

I open the book and that book smell shoots out of it. I look at all those beautiful pages not yet read.

I sit there reading to my hearts content,

before I know it I've read 10 chapters.

When we leave my eyes are still glued to that book.

When I finish it, it leaves me a bit unhappy. 

That world, 

those characters,

 I will never get to read again.

I look on the internet to see if there are any good books by the same author.

I find out it is a series!

There are more books like that perfect one that I can later enjoy.

Small Life Update
